Very few action franchises reach the level of depth in story that the Terminator franchise has. Through six films and various branches of timelines, it has taken a simple time travel thriller, and thrust itself in the way of an epic, reaching worldwide resonating impact through a barrage of characters we’ve met along the way. Unfortunately, a barrage of sequels doesn’t always make for the best interest of the series, and in my opinion this one has as many bad films as it does good. Another terrific franchise that’s held up by the two original and undeniable classics with sequels that have continued to dwindle in quality. Even though I thought the 4 sequels were between decent and mediocre, I’ve almost completely forgotten about them which is probably a good indicator of their quality. I’ll have to revisit some of these in the near future!
